Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t – your right.”
Have you ever paused to ask: What really creates my life? Is it the choices I make? My habits? The people around me?
While those things matter, I’ve found that our beliefs, whether they are secret, hidden, or known to us, shape what shows up.
Beliefs guide decisions, emotions, and even actions — often without conscious awareness.
Can I Change My Beliefs?
We can change our beliefs deliberately with practice, or, like taste buds, they will change over time when we are exposed to new experiences and information. Here are a few ways you can practice changing your own mind.
The Thought Shift Exercise
This week, pay attention to when you say things like: “I can’t.” Or, “That’s not for me.”
Pause and take a few deep breaths.
Ask yourself: “Is this true… or something I’ve believed for a long time?”
Then take a moment and write down or say another, better belief. It’s as simple as “I can and I am going to do this.”
Another example:
Old belief: “I can’t focus on anything.”
New belief: “I’m building better focus one step at a time.” Then, take a step.
My favorite tool comes from Access Consciousness. “What else is possible?”
When we ask that question, the quantum entanglements will have to give you an awareness of what is possible. You may have to say this many times. And eventually, you will start finding solutions to things you didn’t think were possible.
Use Present-Tense Affirmations
Your subconscious responds best to present-tense, emotionally clear language.
- Not: “I will be confident one day.”
- Instead, say: “I am learning to feel more confident each day.”
Repeat it while you’re relaxed—before sleep, during a walk, or right after waking up.
Visualize a New Outcome
In a moment, I’m going to have you imagine yourself living a new belief. But first, we will do a little exercise.
Exercise: Stop and think of a success you had earlier in your life. It could be as simple as not knowing how yet learning to pump gas for the first time. Remember what it felt like. What you heard or said. What you saw. The smells are associated with this success. The feeling of accomplishment as you drove away. Notice how this task became easier and easier and now you have it on autopilot, where you don’t even think about what you have to do.
Take this exercise and do it with that thing you would like to change.
Walk yourself through the scenario.
See yourself succeeding.
Notice what you say to yourself.
What will other people say to you.
Notice how you can do this because you are in a safe environment (your mind).
Have your body remain calm.
Know you are capable.
Run through the scenario again, and this time it is easier. Do this many times. Then go out and do that thing. Eventually you will become a pro and be able to do it without even thinking.
Visualization activates the same brain regions as real experience and eventually creates mental conditioning that makes the new belief more familiar.
Hypnosis and Belief Code: Stop Self-Sabotaging Beliefs
Our deepest beliefs don’t live in our logical mind. They live below the surface—in the subconscious.
Hypnosis helps you access the subconscious in a relaxed, focused state where your mind becomes more open to letting go of past experiences that created the negative beliefs and allowing yourself to upgrade your belief system.
The Belief Code is another tool where we can make a change by asking a question about how we can get ____ (fill in the blank) to change or using words you hear coming out of your mouth and finding the negative programs, limiting beliefs, faulty core beliefs, and faulty core identities that are in the way of you moving forward.
These are two different methods, so please schedule a free 15-minute consultation to help you choose what will work for you.
The Shift Begins in the Mind
Thoughts, feelings, and emotions shape your reality and the way you see yourself, others, and what you believe is possible.
With small shifts — and the right support — you can create new beliefs that align with the life you truly want.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQs)
How do beliefs form in the subconscious mind?
Beliefs often form from early life messages and emotional events. Over time, the subconscious accepts them as truth, even if they no longer serve us.
Is there a connection between mindset and success in life?
Yes. A growth mindset leads to resilience, effort, and new opportunities. What you believe about yourself directly influences how far you’ll go and what you’ll try.
